If you want to be part of the next generation of welders, this is the course for you! This camp allows students to explore the career opportunities and requirements of a professional metal fabricator! The content emphasizes the development of beginner-level skills, key to the success of working in the welding industry. Students will study workplace safety, basic manufacturing processes, and basic print reading skills. There will be a project to complete to a spec that the students will be able to take home at the end of the term. Goals will include: Introduce students to proper safety in the workplace environment. Introduce students to basic skills required in the manufacturing industry. Protective equipment required is work boots and jeans. We can provide bus transportation to the class. Parents are responsible for securing transportation at the end of each class. **Please do not register if you have already taken a Welding Camp Course @ Felling Trailers or if you are not able to attend all sessions. This is a high-demand offering and we want to offer it to those who will maximize this opportunity.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Work Boots and Jeans. No crocks, sandals, or soft-toed shoes. Protective hardware and gloves will be provided by Felling Trailers).
The class will be taught at the Merle J. Felling Weld Training Facility (this is the old vet clinic building).
