*Swim Meet: Tuesday, March 25. The meet usually lasts about 1.5 hours. Family members are encouraged to attend. Swimmers should arrive at 5:30 and wear their t-shirts for a group picture.
Goggles are required but are not included in the total cost. They are available in the Community Ed office or online at https://isd743.revtrak.net/athletics-and-activities/miscellaneous/#/list A good pair of goggles is vital to a swimmer’s comfort in the water.
Sauk Centre Community Education will be offering a Competitive Swimming program for girls and boys in grades 3-6.
This is a great opportunity for kids to have fun and learn the basics of the sport. A swim meet will be held to demonstrate the skills the swimmers have learned during the class. This class is not swimming lessons. Basic swimming skills, such as being able to swim the length of the pool, are recommended.
The program teaches elementary-age students the events and skills related to competitive swimming. Swimmers will work on developing the four competitive strokes, turns, and competitive starts.
